We're building a fintech product to revolutionize SME lending in emerging markets. Think fast-moving, high-ownership, design-meets-systems-thinking culture. We’re solving one of the messiest real-world problems, credit access, with clean, intuitive interfaces and ruthless clarity. The stakes are high, and so is the bar.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead UX and UI design across mobile and web products
  • Translate rough concepts and workflows into clean user journeys
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems in Figma
  • Partner tightly with product, engineering, and operations to shape features
  • Conduct lightweight user research and usability validation
  • Think in flows, not just screens, and obsess over edge cases
  • Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping, the works)
  • UX research basics, user interviews, usability tests, etc.
  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and real-world constraints
  • Bonus if you know how design decisions impact frontend development (React)

Hard Skills

  • Portfolio with relevant work, ideally shipped B2B or fintech products
  • Experience with design systems and scalable UI frameworks
  • Ability to wireframe quickly and polish when needed
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping early-stage features
  • Can turn complex logic into clean interfaces that make sense at a glance

    • Soft Skills

  • Curious mind, always asking why before jumping to how
  • Collaborative communicator who makes others better
  • Clear design rationale and willingness to debate tradeoffs
  • Comfortable working solo and owning problems end to end
  • Deep empathy for small businesses and emerging market realities
  • Systems thinking over dribbble thinking
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize and cut scope
  • Love for clarity, speed, and simplicity
  • A bias for getting real feedback over chasing perfection
  • Fintech or SME product experience
  • Past experience in early-stage, high-growth teams
  • Exposure to AI / LLM-integrated product experiences
  • Over-polished Behance portfolios with zero product depth
  • Designers who only want final specs and handholding
  • People afraid to challenge product decisions
