Overview
Our client, a global fresh produce distributor, is looking for a SAP FICO Functional Consultant & Business Analyst to act as the liaison between finance business stakeholders and the IT organization to design, configure, and optimize SAP S/4HANA FICO solutions to drive financial efficiency and reporting accuracy. This is a 6-month contractual position with likelihood of extension. Candidates must be fluent in English and willing to work EST hours.
Responsibilities
- Analyse, document, and validate complex business requirements from finance and accounting stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and effective SAP FICO configurations.
- Configure, customize, and test SAP FICO modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders.
- Lead and support integration efforts with other SAP modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and CO-PA (Profitability Analysis).
- Manage and ensure seamless data flows between SAP FICO and peripheral systems like BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) and Esker for document automation.
- Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting, resolving system issues, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Facilitate end-user training and create comprehensive documentation for system processes and configurations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to specify requirements for development objects (e.g., reports, interfaces) and perform rigorous functional testing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant or Business Analyst in a full life-cycle implementation or support environment.
- Deep hands-on configuration expertise within the SAP FICO module.
- Strong demonstrated experience with integration points between FICO and other SAP modules, specifically SD, MM, and CO-PA.
- Experience with financial consolidation and reporting tools, specifically SAP BPC.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in EST time zone.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Agro-tech, Manufacturing, or Supply chain industries.
- Knowledge of the Esker platform for automated financial processes.
