What is Manager Channel Planning?

The role reports directly to the Stream Head Channel Planning and has 1 person reporting directly into it with an extended team of 7 team members.

What does Manager Channel Planning do?

Key Responsibilities

  • Incentive Framework Design
  • Develop and execute channel incentive frameworks using advanced data analytics
  • Ensure incentives align with profitable revenue streams, high-margin deals, and long-term customer value
  • Performance Target Setting
  • Define and implement monthly performance targets and KPIs for sales teams and partners based on data-driven insights
  • Establish challenging yet achievable goals to enhance sales productivity and partner performance
  • Sales Promotion
  • Design and manage sales promotions to drive product bundling and cross-selling across sales channels
  • Develop time-bound campaigns to accelerate sales and improve channel participation on focus areas
  • Sales Channel Collaboration
  • Establish structured collaboration with sales teams and channels to align on performance KPI and growth strategies
  • Facilitate regular performance reviews with business support managers and feedback sessions to identify challenges and improvement areas
  • Integrate sales team feedback into incentive models to drive alignment and motivation
  • Compensation Structure Optimization
  • Optimize channel compensation models with tiered incentives rewarding multi-year contracts, cloud adoption, and recurring revenue streams
  • Ensure the compensation structure drives long-term strategic deals without discouraging short-term sales
  • Performance Tracking and Payout Management
  • Implement real-time performance tracking dashboards with automated payout calculations to improve transparency and motivation
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in incentive payouts
  • Sales Recognition and Motivation
  • Introduce gamified sales recognition programs to enhance competitiveness and engagement among sales teams and partners
  • Promote a high-performance culture through targeted recognition and reward initiatives

  • Effective Incentive Frameworks - Delivery of data-driven incentive frameworks that boost profitable revenue and drive high-margin deals
  • Target Achievement - Achievement of performance targets and KPIs across sales teams and channels
  • Revenue Growth - Increase in multi-year contracts, cloud adoption, and recurring revenue streams
  • Performance Transparency - Deployment of automated performance tracking and payout systems, ensuring clear alignment and motivation
  • Sales Promotion Impact - Increased sales team and channel engagement through targeted sales promotions and cross-selling initiatives
  • Channel Collaboration Impact - Improved alignment and performance through structured collaboration with sales teams and channels
  • Strategic Business Focus - Shift from transactional sales to long-term, strategic customer relationships

    Requirements

    What are we looking for and what does it require to be role title ?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
  • Certifications in Sales Performance Management (SPM), Data Analytics, or Compensation Design would be a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and convert them into actionable insights
  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or other CRM and incentive management tools
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, revenue streams, and cost structures
  • Ability to link incentive outcomes to business profitability
  • Experience in developing automated performance tracking dashboards and payout calculation models
  • Deep understanding of the B2B sales cycle and channel dynamics
