Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Assistant Director – Business Channel Integration to lead the integration and optimization of banking, payment, and business channels in Pakistan. The role will focus on establishing strategic partnerships with financial institutions, coordinating system integrations, and ensuring seamless connectivity across PalmPay’s digital payment infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payment systems, APIs, and banking integrations , with prior experience working in fintech, NBFC, or digital banking environments .
Key Responsibilities
- Channel Integration & Technical Coordination
- Lead end-to-end integration between PalmPay’s platform and partner banks, payment gateways, and institutional channels
- Define and manage API integration frameworks, ensuring security, scalability, and performance
- Oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure smooth deployment of integrated financial solutions
- Identify and resolve technical issues, working closely with global tech and product teams
- Partnership & Business Development Support
- Collaborate with the Banking Partnership and Business teams to identify integration opportunities with local financial institutions
- Build strong relationships with technical teams at partner organizations to ensure effective coordination and project delivery
- Participate in contract negotiations by providing integration and system feasibility inputs
- Project Management & Delivery
- Develop and manage project plans for all integration initiatives, ensuring timely execution and delivery
- Monitor milestones, resource allocation, and risks to ensure project success
- Report on integration progress, timelines, and key KPIs to management
- System Optimization & Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and improve integration architecture and data flow efficiency
- Establish best practices for system design, deployment, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with SBP, SECP, and data protection regulations
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance teams to align integration strategies with business objectives
- Support the development of new products and digital channels through effective backend connectivity
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 10+ years of experience in API integration, payment systems, or fintech system coordinationStrong understanding of banking integrations, fund settlement processes, and transaction routingExperience working with financial APIs, middleware platforms, and microservices architectureProven track record in project management and partner integration in fintech, NBFC, or payment institutionsFamiliarity with SBP guidelines, ISO8583, PCI DSS, and data security standardsExcellent communication and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration experienceFluency in English and Urdu (written and verbal)Preferred Skills
Certification in Project Management (PMP, Agile, or Scrum) is a plusHands‑on experience with Postman, Swagger, and API documentation toolsFamiliarity with payment switch integration, card scheme operations, and reconciliation processesStrong technical documentation and analytical skillsCompensation & Benefits
