About the Role The role involves managing lease transactions, financial data related to leased assets, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and audit coordination. You will support strategic financial planning, ensure effective internal controls, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting standards.
Your Impactful Goals
Manage end-to-end tower owner transactions, including 10,000+ payments, lease agreements, NOCs, ownership changes, and related documentation.
Prepare monthly reports and comply with reporting procedures to ensure accounting and reporting of leased assets as per the requirements of IFRS‑16.
Prepare and report monthly financial accruals for prepaid rental payments, conducting variance analyses against budgets based on GL codes.
Analyze financial data by creating reports and providing strategic recommendations for improved financial performance.
Prepare periodic reports and presentations of financial outlook for management, contributing to informed decision making and improved profitability.
Coordinate with external auditors regarding annual audits and interim review for establishment of required controls based on audit recommendations.
Develop and implement comprehensive financial risk assessment strategies by identifying control weaknesses and suggesting process improvements to mitigate potential financial risks.
Forecast budgets for cost allocation, prepare monthly Opex & Capex reports for variance analysis, capitalization, accruals reporting and preparing business cases for investment committee approvals to streamline operations.
Actively conform to and abide by all regulatory guidance and organizational policies & procedures to ensure financial discipline to adhere with government regulations.
Carry out financial reconciliation with authorities for financial closing and reporting.
Carry out regional / field visits for audits, roadshows and impart financial knowledge to regional teams to ensure compliance.
Your Typical Day at Work
Keep track of Opex and Capex transactions, review GL postings, and identify discrepancies for correction or clarification.
Coordinate with other teams (FINCON / BPA) to gather financial input and explanations for variances.
Manage tax queries and deal with Tax team for policy changes and implementation at UD's end.
Maintain supporting documentation for audit reviews, ensure that financial controls are applied consistently, and follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
Assist in rolling forecasts, variance analysis and review business cases for investment committee submissions.
Identify control weaknesses, update risk registers where applicable, and recommend process improvements to mitigate financial risks.
Ensure all transactions conform with internal policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Provide training to regional teams on financial knowledge to ensure financial compliance.
Summarize financial findings and prepare dashboards for management.
Manage internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals. What Are We Looking For? Education :
Bachelor's / Master's in Accounting / Finance / ACCA / CA.
Work Experience :
Minimum of 5‑7 years of professional experience, especially in Financial Accounting and Closing domain.
Potential Career Path Depending upon the candidate's potential, they can grow in managerial positions in Lease Management, Financial Control & Reporting.
