The Department of Psychiatry, Aga Khan University is striving to become a centre of excellence that provides leadership in areas of research, service provision and education in mental health. The psychiatric services include a 18-bedded acute care short-term adult psychiatric unit, a day care programme, 24 hours emergency service, and consultation / referral service, in addition to 33 weekly outpatient clinics. An occupational therapy programme is attached to the inpatient and day care services. Responsibilities
You will be responsible to : undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical, research and specified administrative activities provide accessible, compassionate, ethical and evidence-based care to patients in the academic setup conduct out-patient clinics and manage in-patient service conduct research by defining a research project, undertaking research, synthesizing research findings and publishing and disseminating the conclusions to a wider audience teach and train undergraduates and postgraduates according to the defined standards and curriculum participate in national and international academic medical education conferences and symposiums carry out any other responsibilities as assigned by Chair. Requirements
You must have completed at least 4 years of structured post-graduate training in Psychiatry from a reputable institution. S / he should either possess or be eligible for FCPS, MRCPsych, American Board or equivalent qualification, should have a valid PMDC liscence. To Apply
