The Impact of Your Role As the Credit Controller, you will have an impact on safeguarding the financial stability of Giant by ensuring timely and accurate customer payments, managing outstanding debts, and maintaining precise financial records. Therefore, you will be proactively communicating with clients, resolving queries efficiently, and collaborating with internal teams to support smooth financial operations. The desired outcome of this will be enhanced customer satisfaction, improved cash flow, and a seamless credit control process that supports Giant’s vision. Key Responsibilities
Ownership & Resolution : Take full ownership of complex queries, problems, and projects—ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high-quality experience for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes using systems like V3 and Sage to investigate aged debt and locate invoices. Performance & Proactivity : Work proactively to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs). Account Management : Reconcile accounts and manage ad-hoc invoicing as needed. Credit Assessment : Conduct credit checks for new customers and perform regular reviews for existing accounts. Reporting : Provide management with updates on outstanding issues and flag potential debtor risks. Project Involvement : Participate in relevant projects, ensuring all new systems, initiatives, and products are assessed for impact on the Credit Control function. Cross-Team Communication : Collaborate with teams across the business (e.g., BDMS, ESO) to address debt-related matters. Debt Recovery : Carry out regular outbound calls and correspondence to recover overdue payments. Your Experience & Competencies
