The Senior Manager - Category plays a crucial role in leading and developing our product category strategy to drive business growth and profitability by leading product portfolio strategy, new product development, forecasting, and inventory management. The role ensures a consumer‑centric approach in category planning and works closely with marketing, supply chain, and sales to translate product strategy into business results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead category revenue, profitability, and inventory performance by managing the full product lifecycle, including pricing and margin optimization at SKU level.
Shape the Home category portfolio through data‑backed new product development, SKU rationalization, and phase‑out plans aligned with consumer trends and business goals.
Develop accurate demand forecasts by SKU and work with supply chain to ensure ideal inventory cover, minimizing aged or excess stock.
Launch new products across bedroom, living, dining, kids, and storage segments.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager – Home to co‑develop launch timelines, pricing actions, and category communication plans across channels.
Coordinate with retail, ecommerce, and visual merchandising teams to drive visibility and liquidation of slow‑moving and phased‑out inventory.
Lead monthly business reviews and develop analytics dashboards (e.g., Power BI) with insights such as ABC, RFM, and velocity to drive category actions.
Work closely with sales, marketing, and SCM to align planning and ensure smooth execution of category objectives.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in category management, product management, or brand management, preferably in the furniture, appliances, fashion or home decor sector.
Skills & Behavior
Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful category strategies leading to significant revenue growth.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of managing cross‑functional teams effectively.
