Job description

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Backend Developer to join our team for the Xdemand / Xiom project. This role is critical to structuring our core backend code within a well-defined framework and developing robust APIs to support the application side. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience working with backend technologies and a strong foundation in Python-based frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend architecture using Python (Django / Flask)
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints to support frontend integrations
  • Work with relational databases including MSSQL and PostgreSQL
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver seamless application features
  • Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and scalability of backend services
  • Assist in organizing legacy code into a structured, maintainable format
  • Implement data models and storage solutions
  • Apply version control and deployment best practices

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in Django and Flask
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Experience with databases : MSSQL, PostgreSQL
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

    • Preferred / Nice-to-Have :

  • Experience or interest in Time Series Analysis
  • Certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Database, or Data Warehousing
  • Educational background in :
  • BS Computer Science
  • BS Software Engineering
  • BS Artificial Intelligence
