The Position

The division is looking for a Full Stack Developer (Java) to work as part of its team to be responsible for the development and maintenance of its web-based projects that meet both technical requirements and business objectives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Develop high-quality code that meets functional requirements, is easy to maintain, and provides a positive user experience. Partner with other team members to understand, identify, and fix product bugs. Provide high level technical support to other team members and customers. Solve complex technical issues such as performance bottlenecks, architectural limitations, or user experience challenges. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality standards. Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices to contribute effectively to their teams and projects. Participate in agile planning and stand-up meetings as necessary. Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Karachi / Lahore / Islamabad resource center offices, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Required Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining web applications. 3+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate / JPA. 3+ years of experience with relational databases 3+ years of experience with testing web applications and enterprise software through manual and automated techniques / unit test frameworks. 3+ years of experience with JavaScript / Typescript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue 3+ years of experience with developing and maintaining REST based APIs. Excellent knowledge of HTML 5, CSS3 and jQuery

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues in applications efficiently. Strong understanding of core Java concepts, OOP, data structures, and algorithms. Good understanding of unit tests, performing code reviews, and ensuring the quality and reliability of code. Have the ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. Must be adaptable and willing to continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Expertise in writing quality unit testing to ensure the code quality.
