Software delivery remains trapped in outdated cycles. Backlogs expand endlessly, delivery timelines span weeks, and code review often devolves into formality to meet sprint deadlines. Most engineering organizations grapple with integration hazards, fragile system designs, and ambiguous specifications. AI coding agents now generate viable code, yet only when provided with rigorous specifications and oversight. The industry continues adding headcount rather than addressing the fundamental process of converting intent into dependable, production-ready software.

Trilogy operates differently. We execute an end-to-end agentic development model : engineers own research, specification, architecture, and validation, while AI agents execute implementation. Specifications are crafted for execution by Claude Code, structured with test-first principles and tightly scoped to contain failure domains. This produces continuous deployment of production capabilities with significantly compressed feedback cycles, reduced integration uncertainty, and elevated confidence in correctness before code reaches the main branch.

This position is designed for engineers who prefer system design and correctness verification over task execution. Your time allocation will be approximately 10–20% devoted to research and technical exploration to map existing behavior, constraints, and stakeholder requirements; 40–50% translating that knowledge into precise, test-driven, agent‑executable specifications and architectural choices; and 40–50% directing and overseeing implementation execution. You own accountability for shipped outcomes : no undetected failures, no vague specifications, no deflection of responsibility.

What You Will Be Doing

• Technical Discovery : Examining existing systems, stakeholder needs, and data sources to map the problem domain and technical boundaries
• Technical Specification : Transforming research outcomes and stakeholder requirements into precise, executable technical specifications tailored for agentic coding assistants (primarily Claude Code) following spec‑driven development practices
• AI Implementation : Directing AI coding agents through implementation, continuously reviewing and validating agent‑generated code, and merging verified changes into production codebases

Working with us

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD / hour, which equates to $100,000 USD / year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
