Agile Project Manager | Professional Scrum Master (PSM-I)

Location : Remote (Pakistan)

Engagement : Part-time, contractual (not employment)

Reporting to : CTO / CEO / Product Owner

About the Role

We’re building a modern intelligence platform that combines cutting-edge retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with a clean, responsive UI. You’ll establish and scale automated testing across a React frontend and FastAPI backend running on GCP . The product combines RAG pipelines, vector databases, and LLM integrations—so you’ll validate not only UI / API / infra reliability, but also correctness, latency, and guardrails around AI features.

What You’ll Do

Automation Frameworks & Coverage

Build / extend UI automation (e.g., Playwright or Cypress ) for React (TypeScript).
Build / extend API automation ( pytest , requests , or Playwright API ) for FastAPI endpoints.
Add component / contract tests (e.g., Pact or schema checks) to stabilize integrations.

Quality Gates & CI / CD

Wire tests into GCP Cloud Build (or equivalent CI) with pass / fail quality gates.

Define coverage targets and dashboards (e.g., GitHub Checks, Cloud Logging).

Process & Collaboration

Participate in agile ceremonies; provide clear defect triage and root-cause analysis.

Document test plans, test cases, runbooks, and quality standards.

Release Readiness

Own regression packs for critical user journeys (search, chat, citations, auth, billing).

Create test data strategies (synthetic & anonymized) and environment parity checks.

Success Looks Like (Deliverables & KPIs)

Automated coverage of critical paths ≥ 80% (UI smoke + API contract + key flows).

PR-level checks

Release regressions reduced by ≥50% within 2 months.

UI : Playwright or Cypress; Testing Library for component tests.

Data & AI(Nice to have) : Familiarity with vector DBs (pgvector, Pinecone, Qdrant), embeddings, retrieval evaluation; golden truth sets.

Must-Haves

4+ years in QA automation for web apps (UI + API), with recent hands-on coding.

Proven experience building Playwright / Cypress suites and pytest -based API tests.

CI integration experience (quality gates, artifacts, parallelization, retries).

Clear written / verbal communication and crisp defect reporting.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience testing AI / RAG systems (deterministic harnesses, evaluation sets).

Contract testing, test containers, and data seeding strategies.

Perf testing (k6 / Locust) and basic security checks.

Startup / remote experience; comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration.

Working Style

Part-time hours (agree on a weekly cadence) with overlap for standups / reviews.

Bias to automation over manual steps; “small PRs, fast feedback.”

Document as you go : stable, repeatable test runs and clear runbooks.
