Senior Network Engineer

Overview

ibex. is looking for a SeniorNetwork Engineerwho has experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), LAN / WLAN (DNS, IP Addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast), Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR / ASR routers and can provide Tier-1 / 2 / 3 support in order to diagnose and resolve escalated issues.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Provide Tier-1 / 2 / 3 support in order to diagnose and resolve escalated issues that may cause Service Degradation or Interruption in the Connectivity of Data Center, DR, Regional Hubs, and All branches.
• Look after network infrastructure and handle new tasks independently
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security rules, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Lise with internal / external teams for problem resolution
• network queries received from operations (end user)
• Maintain network tools and application like Orion, TACACS, Configuration Backups
• Join bridges, look after trouble tickets, respond to network queries
• Coordinate with carrier
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs etc.)
