Overview

Advance International Chemicals Pvt Ltd, Pakistan

Advance International Chemicals Private Limited engaged in indenting, trading of industrial chemical raw materials for paint, inks, coating, adhesive for leather, textile, foam, glass, ceramics and various other industries in addition to manufacturing of paint, coatings and various oil / chemical products is looking to expand its marketing team and recruit Assistant Manager Tax having completed articles with any of BIG FOUR Firms. The selected professional will primarily be responsible for providing assistance in overall tax planning, refunds, exemption planning and routine tax matters. The ideal candidate should :

Responsibilities

Provide assistance in overall tax planning, refunds, exemption planning and routine tax matters.
Counter check the routine tax returns being submitted by the company.
Handle all tax audits.
Perform complex tax research with the aim of providing benefit to the organization.
Prepare tax planning and assist accounting staff members in client meetings where required.
Review tax accruals and analyze tax authorities’ notices; draft responses.
Review tax authorities’ notice responses prepared by other tax personnel.
Delegate work to tax staff and supervise their work through a proper work plan.
Make presentations to management with regard to any issue identified.
Prepare Tax MIS and get incorporated in software.
Update senior management regarding any potential or actual change in tax environment through regular Tax Alerts to assess the change effect for the organization or identify a business opportunity.

Qualifications

Be Part Qualified with any Chartered Accountancy & LLB & have work experience of any of BIG FOUR Firms.

The candidate is required to be a self-starter and team player.

Be minimum two years experience preferably in paint manufacturing / chemical raw material industry as stated above.

Have full grasp of Sales Tax practices and exemptions.

Have command over Income Tax Ordinance and been engaged in obtaining various admissible exemptions under the law.

Have knowledge of various SROs relating to import and GST.

Have experience of obtaining refunds from Income Tax Department.

Have exposure to issues relating to double taxation treaties.

Able to counter check the routine tax returns being submitted by the company.

Note : The position involves handling all tax-related activities as described above.

Job details

The job is Lahore based. The maximum age limit is 35 years. The company offers very attractive remuneration commensurate with profile of the candidate and benefits and career growth.
