Job Overview An RFP Specialist will identify and track government and public sector Request for Proposals (RFPs). This role is critical to our business development strategy and involves using platforms like GovSpend, SAM.gov, and other procurement databases to uncover relevant opportunities aligned with our services.
Responsibilities
Proactively search for and identify RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs using GovSpend, SAM.gov, state procurement portals, and other relevant tools
Monitor and maintain a pipeline of upcoming and active RFPs across federal, state, and local agencies
Analyze RFP requirements and summarize key details for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with business development, sales, and proposal teams to prioritize opportunities
Maintain accurate records of RFPs sourced, including deadlines, submission requirements, and agency contacts
Stay current on procurement trends and changes in government contracting regulations
Assist in developing and refining search strategies to improve RFP sourcing efficiency
Requirements
2+ years of experience in RFP sourcing, government contracting, or procurement research
Familiarity with GovSpend, SAM.gov, and other government procurement platforms
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Experience with CRM or proposal management tools is a plus
Understanding of public sector procurement cycles
Experience supporting proposal development teams
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
