General Manager Plant Operations

Supervise plant expansion. Improve your knowledge of supply chain, production, accounts, engineering, administration, and human resource functions. Improve productivity at the plant and reduce the cost of production and procurement of goods and devices. Enhance the productivity of cadres working under you and plan their training. Control wastage in the plant and dispose of it within time limits. Maintain cleanliness and order in the plant. Reduce turnover of workers and organize their training. Formulate, recommend, and execute programs that will increase productivity and ensure optimization of resources. Monitor the functioning of the production function and ensure that production requirements meet laid down time schedules. Ensure that quality and GMP requirements are fulfilled at all stages, from receipt of raw materials to shipment of finished goods. Ensure compliance with legislative provisions regarding manufacturing, safety, housekeeping GMP, and environmental requirements. Advise on the supply chain function and ensure effective material management, optimum utilization of inventory procedures, and timely dispatches of finished goods. Execute / formulate proposals to cover the scope of critical capacity areas and long-term upgrading / expansion programs with recommendations regarding capital expenditures. Organize plant expansion, alteration, and modification of existing machines, equipment, and services to improve overall productivity and efficiency. Provide guidance towards the development and break-in of new processes and the introduction of new products within the framework of the company's policy and approved procedures. Exercise effective maintenance schedules and prepare a cost-effective inventory of spares to meet emergencies and schedule maintenance needs. Ensure efficient workability of all equipment, machines, and the plant. Administer the company's policy and procedures within the area of responsibility, particularly orienting new employees, training, and leadership development. Prepare a long-range plan for identifying and purchasing new machines and equipment to cope with future production requirements. Ensure overall safety of the plant and administration. Maintain contact with relevant government agencies for statutory requirements regarding electric installations, boilers, and regulatory requirements. Ensure the availability of equipment in good condition to facilitate the manufacturing process. Ensure the availability of utilities in adequate quality and quantity to support manufacturing and support areas. Job Specification
