Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify relevant jobs and bidding opportunities on Upwork based on our service offerings.
  • Write customized, compelling proposals and cover letters to maximize win rates.
  • Strategically manage and grow our Upwork profile (ratings, job success score, client feedback).
  • Build relationships with clients to secure long-term collaborations and repeat work.
  • Coordinate with the internal team to estimate effort and ensure realistic delivery timelines.
  • Keep detailed records of proposals sent, outcomes, and lessons learned to refine strategy.
  • Continuously monitor Upwork trends and platform changes to stay competitive.

Skills Required

  • Ability to write clear, tailored, and persuasive proposals.
  • Knowledge of how to improve Upwork Job Success Score, ratings, client feedback, and responsiveness.
  • Understanding of tone, structure, and content that resonates with clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of Upwork’s interface, policies, bidding system, and algorithm.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing Upwork profiles.
  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to identify and qualify high-potential job leads.
  • Understanding of client psychology and how to position offers to convert leads.
  • Fluent written and verbal English.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with clients, ask relevant questions, and handle objections.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.

    • Job Experience

  • Minimum 6 months of proven freelancing experience, preferably on Upwork or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to write winning proposals and secure projects.
  • Experience in managing or contributing to a freelance profile’s growth is a strong plus.
