System Engineer

Education & Experience

Education : Minimum Bachelors in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering from an HEC recognized / reputable foreign university

Experience : 4 to 6 years experience relevant to the field

Location : DHA / Gulshan Karachi

Gender : Female / Male

• Proven work experience as a certified system engineer
• Advanced knowledge of network and application data communication ports, protocols, and formats
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and MacOS
• Advanced knowledge of on-prem and in-cloud infrastructure, deployment architectures and security
• Technical knowledge of wireless access points, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, HSMs, VPCs, VPNs, virtualization, controllers, proxies, databases, web and application server systems & virus protection
• Advanced knowledge of data replication, protection, and backups for databases, logs, and files
• Experience in creating, managing, and administering organizational networks, IT systems, and hosting infrastructure and their security, both on-prem and in-cloud
• Experience in working on AWS, Azure, and GCP clouds for their IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings and services
• Experience in deploying and configuring popular web, application, and database servers such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining scalable app and database server clusters
• Experience in working with the DevOps team in setting up CI / CD pipelines
• Extensive experience in the security hardening of servers on Linux
• Experience in setting up Jump Servers / Bastion Hosts and SSH access on cloud infrastructure
• All of the following certifications would be a plus : CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CSEP, CISSP
