The Role

Role Overview :

As a Social Media Manager, you will oversee the scheduling and posting of content derived from our newsletters across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Pinterest. You will be responsible for ensuring that each post is optimized with relevant hashtags and alt tags, and that it is scheduled or published on time to maintain a consistent and engaging presence across channels.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Posting :

  • Use native or third-party scheduling tools for platforms like Meta, X, LinkedIn, and Pinterest to plan and publish content in advance.
  • Manually post time-sensitive content such as Instagram Stories, Threads updates, Reddit posts, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Ensure timely and consistent posting based on the social media calendar.
  • Coordinate with creatives to publish Reels, Pins, YouTube videos, and other short-form content that align with newsletter topics.

Content Optimization & Strategy :

  • Write attention-grabbing captions tailored for each platform’s tone and audience.
  • Add relevant hashtags and SEO-friendly alt tags to maximize reach, engagement, and accessibility.
  • Interlink posts when relevant to drive traffic across platforms ).
  • Customize newsletter-based content into platform-specific formats, including vertical video, static graphics, and carousels.
  • Contribute to ideas for viral content, Reels, Shorts, and platform-native features like Pinterest Idea Pins.
  • Collaborate on paid ad strategy and execution across platforms like Meta, X, and Pinterest.
  • Platform Management & Community Engagement :

  • Oversee all brand social media profiles : Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Maintain and update the social media content calendar with posts tied to newsletter themes and publishing timelines.
  • Monitor audience engagement, respond to comments and DMs, and build relationships with followers.
  • Like, comment on, and share relevant user content to grow community presence.
  • Track trending topics and proactively join relevant conversations or trends.
  • Measure post performance and identify opportunities for growth, content improvement, or campaign tweaks.
  • Ideal Profile

    Job Requirements :

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in social media management, including strategy, scheduling, engagement, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in repurposing newsletter content for social media in creative and high-impact formats.
  • Strong knowledge of platform mechanics, including Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Skilled in writing captions, crafting post copy, and optimizing for engagement and searchability.
  • Familiar with Pinterest best practices, including keyword-rich pin descriptions, Idea Pins, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience managing short-form video content like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest video pins.
  • Working knowledge of setting up, running, and monitoring paid ads on Meta, Pinterest, and other key platforms.
  • Proficient in using scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Metricool, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple platforms and timelines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable collaborating with content writers, our designer, and our management team.
