innRoad is a leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company providing thousands of hospitality clients worldwide with best-in-class Property Management, Rate Management, Channel Management and Guest Conversion solutions focused on growing their business.

The Opportunity

innRoad is searching for their next Business Development Representative with a passion for SaaS software and the hospitality industry. The role will be responsible for generating pipeline growth with single and multi-unit hotel and property management segments for innRoad. The right candidate will be a critical part of innRoad’s continued growth in a multi-billion-dollar segment with internal growth potential.

A Day in the Life of Business Development Rep at innRoad

  • You will research, identify, and contact prospective customers through phone, email and LinkedIn channels
  • You will ask discovery questions to understand their business situation, identify challenges and the impact it has on their business, and convey the ways innRoad can provide a solution to their needs
  • You will schedule meetings with qualified prospective customers that result in pipeline generation of qualified opportunities for net new business
  • You will work to meet and exceed monthly goals defined to maximize sales pipeline

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-5 years’ of outbound sales experience (selling into the Hospitality industry preferred)
  • Aptitude for technology and technology solutions
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Characteristics of a Successful Business Development Rep

  • High energy, and the ability to conduct high levels of activity each day.
  • You love hunting for prospective customers you can bring in as sales leads, and you have a phone-centric mentality
  • You’re confident, curious and engaging on the phone, an active listener, and have strong communication skills
  • You have strong writing and research capabilities
  • Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome objections
  • Knowledge and experience with cold calling and cold emailing preferred
  • Knowledge of sales frameworks like SPIN Selling is preferred
  • Knowledge of PMS technology and experience in hospitality or lodging industry preferred
  • You’re organized, attentive to details and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • You’re self-aware, reflective, coachable and seek out feedback to understand where opportunities exist to optimize performance outcomes
