Background : The Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives, Pakistan (CPDI) is an independent, non-partisan, and not-for-profit civil society organization working on issues of peace and development in Pakistan. It is registered under section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017. CPDI seeks a Project Officer to support the implementation of the Just Energy Transition (JET) project in Pakistan. The role involves :
- Assisting in planning, coordination, and execution of project tasks.
- Facilitating project meetings and maintaining records.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Providing regular updates to project leadership.
- Organizing activities such as workshops, conferences, and media campaigns.
- Documenting project activities and preparing reports.
- Liaising with stakeholders including parliamentarians, NGOs, policymakers, and media.
- Conducting desk research and media monitoring.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Renewable Energy Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Media Studies, or Mass Communication.At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within civil society, media, or research organizations.Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office; social media knowledge is a plus.Excellent written skills in English and Urdu.Note : CPDI maintains a zero-tolerance policy on corruption, harassment, and discrimination. Smoking is prohibited within CPDI premises. The organization promotes a plastic-free environment.
