Job Description Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior App Developer to join our development team and help us propel our SchoolBase mobile apps. The ideal candidate will have strong logical and analytical thinking, excellent problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and an ability to develop quality software quickly. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet business needs and enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications. Collaborate with team members to identify requirements and define system functionalities. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and scalability. Participate in code reviews, contributing to best practices and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience with 10+ years preferred 5+ years of experience with React and React Native 10+ years of professional experience in front-end development or mobile app development Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain and enhance well-structured and scalable codebases Expert knowledge of modern JavaScript / TypeScript (ES6) Expert knowledge of React concepts Component Basics TSX / JSX Props and State Composition Component Lifecycles and Hooks (useState, useCallback, etc.) Optimization methods (i.e., memorization / virtualized components) Network / API access using React Query Axios State management using Context API or Zustand Expert knowledge of React Native Specifics concepts such as core / native components and virtualized DOM A good eye for design - especially using Material Design 3 and React Native Paper Proficient in Git and source control Familiarity with consuming REST APIs
