Job Purpose The
Senior Registrar
will assist the
Head of Department
in managing and supervising all clinical and academic activities within the department to ensure high‑quality patient care and effective teaching. The role includes overseeing postgraduate and undergraduate training, supervising medical and paramedical staff, and ensuring alignment with institutional values and healthcare standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct lectures, seminars, small group discussions, and clinical teaching sessions for MBBS / BDS students in line with the approved curriculum.
Facilitate postgraduate trainees in clinical presentations, research activities, journal clubs, and dissertation preparation.
Assist the Head of Department in organizing CPCs, clinical meetings, and professional conferences.
Support faculty and postgraduate trainees in research, publications, and academic development.
Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate examinations and student assessments.
Promote and implement Riphah Mission and Islamic ethical values across all departmental activities.
Develop, supervise, and monitor comprehensive patient care programs, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
Conduct pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative care for both elective and emergency cases.
Supervise PGs, MOs, HOs, and paramedical staff to ensure quality patient care.
Provide consultations, prescribe treatments and medications, and refer patients as necessary.
Participate in the development and implementation of departmental SOPs, treatment guidelines, and patient safety standards.
Coordinate operating room schedules and manage surgical suites effectively.
Promote healthcare quality and patient safety initiatives in line with hospital policies.
Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the management.
Qualifications & Experience
MBBS with FCPS in Anesthesia.
Strong leadership, clinical acumen, academic excellence, communication, and mentoring skills.
Required Skills Clinical Rheumatology, Autoimmune Diseases, Treatment Planning.
