The Adult Gastroenterology training programme at Aga Khan University is one of the leading postgraduate training programmes in Pakistan with an exceptional track record of transforming trainees into efficient clinicians, scholars, and leaders in academic and community Gastroenterology. Accredited with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, the structured Gastroenterology training programme was launched on Nov 1, 1997, and since then our graduates are contributing tremendously to support the unmet need of health care systems in almost all major cities of Pakistan and various best international institutes as leading clinicians, researchers, and institutional leads in both academic and non-academic institutes. The Programme is designed to develop academically oriented Gastroenterologists who would serve as specialists in the area independently. The training is recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan (CPSP). Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Fellow Medical Officer (Gastroenterology) in the Department of Medicine. Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Program Director, you will be responsible for : conducting thorough assessments for both inpatient and outpatient cases accurately documenting findings in patient records formulating and implementing management plans with consultant providing expertise and support for managing complex cases reviewing patients under the guidance and supervision of consultants promptly evaluating and addressing gastroenterology consults developing and implementing management plans under faculty supervision effectively communicating with patients and staff playing a pivotal role in preparing for and assisting during endoscopic procedures documenting details of endoscopic procedures ensuring smooth transitions of patients’ post-endoscopy maintaining a physical presence during in-house calls supervising internal medicine residents and interns actively participating in academic activities related to gastroenterology staying updated with the latest developments in the field contributing to the education and training of medicine residents, interns and students commitment spans inpatient care, outpatient services, consultations, endoscopy rotation, and active participation in academic activities striving for excellence in patient care and upholding the highest standards of medical practice. Requirements

You should have : MBBS from an institution recognized by PMDC one year of house job or internship FCPS Medicine or equivalent examinations or 3-year training in Gastroenterology and waiting for exams or 4 Years training in Internal Medicine and waiting for FCPS II exams. To Apply
