Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented
Trainee Planning Engineer (Mechanical)
to join our engineering and project planning team. This role is ideal for a
fresh mechanical engineering graduate
from a reputed institution who is eager to begin a career in project planning within the engineering or construction industry.
As a Trainee, you will work under the supervision of senior planning engineers to assist in preparing project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with project goals. This position offers excellent learning and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities : Support in preparing and updating project timelines, work breakdown structures, and resource plans.
Monitor project progress and help identify deviations from planned schedules.
Coordinate with project teams (engineering, procurement, execution) to gather status updates.
Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly project reports.
Maintain documentation of planning activities and project updates.
Learn and apply project planning standards, tools, and best practices under guidance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university / institute.
Strong academic record and understanding of project planning and engineering principles.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of planning tools is a plus (Primavera, MS Project).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
