We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our U.S.-based client with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of U.S. accounting principles, tax regulations, and reporting standards. This role involves managing general ledger activities, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting in compliance tasks for our U.S. client’s business entities.
This position is ideal for professionals who have prior experience working with U.S. companies, CPA firms, or outsourced accounting environments , and are looking for long-term stability and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bookkeeping, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for multiple clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns (individual and business entities)
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and tax filings
- Prepare payroll and sales tax
- Communicate regularly with U.S. accounting teams and clients to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting
- Recommend process improvements and maintain accounting best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)Minimum 3–4 years of accounting experience, preferably supporting U.S.-based companies or CPA firmsStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax complianceProficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting softwareStrong Excel and data management skillsExcellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlinesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred Qualifications
