About the role

• Own and drive the vision, strategy, and execution of last mile delivery.
• Lead a high-performing team across multiple geographies to ensure consistent and reliable delivery services.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, Fulfillment, and Customer Experience teams to improve delivery flows, systems, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee daily delivery operations ensuring SLA adherence, route optimization, and reduction in cost per delivery.
• Ensure on-time, in-full deliveries with minimal failed deliveries and maximum customer satisfaction.
• Design and implement SOPs for fleet utilization, route planning, and issue resolution.
• Manage a 300+ owned and aggregated delivery fleet (motorbikes, vans, and commercial vehicles).
• Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and fuel efficiency standards.
• Develop and optimize hub & spoke models, line-haul planning, and city-based delivery models.
• Track and improve key KPIs such as cost per order, on-time delivery rate, failed delivery rate, delivery time per order, and rider productivity.
• Lead, coach, and develop last mile operations teams including Area Managers, Supervisors, and Riders.
• Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Define KPIs, career paths, and training needs for operational staff.
• Partner with product and engineering to design tools for rider tracking, order assignment, automated routing, and mobile apps.
• Explore partnerships or adoption of last mile platforms (e.g. Locus) for optimization and scalability.
