Senior Accountant

Overview

Location : Pakistan / Work from Home and from our offices : Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar (depending on individual circumstances)

Harkia Chartered Accountants is a London, UK-based, reputable ICAEW Chartered accounting firm providing comprehensive financial services to a diverse client base. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant , you will play a crucial role in preparing statutory accounts for limited companies under UK GAAP, FRS 102 / 105. You will also be responsible for various other accounting tasks, including VAT return preparation and bookkeeping using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, VT, and Excel. Additionally, managing a small team and training ACA / ACCA trainees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies under UK GAAP, FRS 102 / 105.
• Efficiently handle VAT return preparation and bookkeeping using QuickBooks, Xero, VT, and Excel.
• Draft letters and emails for clients, ensuring clear and concise communication.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and personal tax returns for clients.
• Handle partnership accounts, including LLP (Limited Liability Partnership).
• Analyse financial data and provide reports to directors, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Assist in tax planning to maximise clients\' financial benefits.
• Support in the computation of capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
• Prepare sole trader accounts and their respective tax returns.
• Maintain accurate ledger records and schedules for all accounts.
• Managing and training ACCA / ICAEW trainees.

Requirements

Salary Package

Salary Range : PKR 150,000 - PKR 165,000 per month. This will be dependent on experience.

Annual holidays - 20 days plus 8 UK bank holidays.
