Overview
Urgent : Temporary consulting services are needed for a small actuarial and data science consulting firm serving insurance companies in the GCC and Pakistan. The primary role is to modify an existing Wolfram Language and SQL-based ETL workflow to work with a changed dataset.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the current Wolfram Language codebase and its integration with SQL Server via DatabaseLink`.
 - Modify ETL processes to clean and transform data for the new dataset structure, ensuring compatibility with SQL Server and existing large query generation and results analysis workflows.
 - Update dynamic SQL generation and any StringExpression / RegularExpression usage as needed to support the new data structure.
 - Validate that the modified code runs correctly against the current dataset and provides correct results to stakeholders.
 - Provide insights and minimal code changes to move the company from the temporary disruption phase without a full re-write.
 - Communicate progress and clarify billing expectations (hourly vs. lump-sum) and onsite vs. remote engagement options.
 
Qualifications
Proficiency in Wolfram Language with experience integrating with SQL Server (e.g., using DatabaseLink`).Strong SQL skills, including experience with large, automated SQL queries.Experience with ETL processes, data cleaning, and data transformation in a mixed Wolfram / SQL environment.Familiarity with StringExpression and RegularExpression usage in ETL routines.Ability to work with datasets in GCC, Pakistan, UAE contexts and respond to onsite or remote engagement preferences.Engagement Details
The consultant will help modify the code to operate on the current dataset and avoid a full code rewrite. Availability on site in Pakistan (preferred) or UAE, with consideration for remote engagement. Clarify hourly vs. lump-sum pricing and any differing charges for on-site versus remote work.
