Senior / Principal Automation Engineer - SQA

Job Overview Location Lahore, Pakistan

Position Title We are hiring Senior / Principal Automation Engineers - SQA, where you'll drive innovation in software testing by developing, maintaining, and executing cutting‑edge automation scripts, leveraging BDD frameworks, and ensuring seamless integration across diverse platforms.

Responsibilities :

To work on BDD model.

Develop and review feature files in gherkin and automate them.

Develop automated test scripts for new features in the n-1 sprint.

Develop automated scripts for all regression flows.

Maintain the entire automation script.

Report and update defects, verify defect fixes using JIRA.

Must be able to work as a manual tester in certain circumstances.

Execute automated flows on different servers such as local QA, UAT, PROD.

Requirements :

Practical knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Software Automation Life Cycle.

3-6 years of hands‑on experience developing functional and regression test automation, including automated and ad‑hoc testing.

Strong grasp of different automation frameworks.

Strong grasp of BDD and Cucumber / Gherkin.

Provide input into improving the organization’s automation test framework.

Proficiency in writing SQL queries in SQL Server.

Engage with the development team to resolve identified defects.

Familiarity with a programming language, preferably Java or Groovy.

Experience with Git, Bitbucket, SVN, Jenkins, or similar tools.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or equivalent experience.
