Job description

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to grow the client base by actively engaging new prospects and generating quoting opportunities.

This strategy is designed for Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to target small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with around 100 or more employees, particularly those seeking supply chain resilience or new product development partners.

By building a strong sales pipeline, BDRs will help secure a steady flow of clients for both the Chinese and Thai facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage SMEs in industries aligned with the client’s manufacturing capabilities.
  • Leverage personalized outreach channels, including cold emails, phone calls, and LinkedIn.
  • Strengthen credibility through compelling content and case studies.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team to scale outreach efforts.
  • Target market segmentation :

U.S.-Based SMEs : Focus on companies exporting to the U.S. and seeking to outsource simpler or mid‑scale projects to the Thai facility.

  • Non‑U.S. Clients : Focus on international companies exporting outside the U.S. and requiring advanced manufacturing solutions through the Chinese facility.
  • Industry focus : Target sectors such as consumer electronics, fitness equipment, industrial components, and other industries needing reliable supply chain solutions and innovative manufacturing partners.
  • Decision‑maker profiles : Target supply chain managers, engineering leads, operations directors, and CEOs to ensure outreach reaches key stakeholders.
  • Cold email campaigns : Personalize messaging to address SMEs’ specific challenges, highlight the client’s strengths (flexibility, tariff reduction, expertise in handling complex projects), use multi‑step sequences with follow‑ups to boost response rates, and aim to book initial discovery calls to qualify leads.
  • LinkedIn prospecting : Optimize the client’s LinkedIn presence, send concise value‑driven connection requests and messages to decision‑makers, and publish / share relevant content such as blogs, case studies, and success stories to build credibility and trust.
  • Lead nurturing and follow‑up : Maintain engagement with consistent email drip campaigns, educational content (whitepapers, guides, insights on supply chain migration and manufacturing in Thailand), and timely follow‑ups.
  • Track sales goals and metrics : Generate 2–3 quoting opportunities per month through outbound efforts, monitor email open rates, response rates, LinkedIn connection success, and build a balanced pipeline for both facilities.

  • Qualifications

  • Sales experience : 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Industry knowledge : Background in consumer goods and consumer electronics industries is highly preferred.
  • Communication skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting personalized outreach messages and engaging with decision‑makers.
  • Tools proficiency : Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email automation tools.
  • Research abilities : Ability to research industries, identify key prospects, and analyze market trends.
  • Goal‑oriented : Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and KPIs.
  • Time management : Strong organizational skills to manage outreach sequences, follow‑ups, and lead nurturing campaigns effectively.
  • Collaboration : Ability to work closely with sales and marketing teams to align strategies and share insights.
  • Adaptability : Flexibility to adjust outreach strategies based on performance metrics and changing business needs.
  • Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Internet connection : Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps; backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps and must support work during a power outage.
  • Primary device : Desktop or laptop equipped with at least an Intel Core i5 (8th gen or newer) or equivalent processor, 8 GB RAM.
  • Backup device : Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor, functional during power interruptions.
  • Peripherals : A functioning webcam, noise‑canceling USB headset, quiet dedicated home office space.
  • Workspace : A smartphone for communication and verification purposes.
