Overview
The faculty member will assist and facilitate the Head of Department to manage and supervise the clinical and academic activities of the department and patient care. He / She will assign and delegate duties to the Registrar and other staff for smooth functioning of the department regarding patient care, teaching and training of the students. He / She will manage, supervise and train PGs / MOs / HOs and other paramedical staff. He / She will also coordinate and collaborate with hospital administration to ensure quality education to students and health services to the patients. Requirements

To arrange and deliver lectures / seminars / clinical & practical skills small group discussions, evaluation and assessment for MBBS / BDS students according to curriculum. To facilitate postgraduate trainees (FCPS and DCPS) for clinical presentation, small group discussions, case-based & problem-based teaching, Journal Club, teaching psychomotor skills and preparation for inter-module examination and dissertation. To assist the Head of Department / Professor in organizing CPC / clinical meetings and conferences in collaboration with other professional organizations. To coordinate and facilitate faculty members and postgraduate trainees in research and development through continuous education and learning environment and support their publication requirements as part of career development activities. To convey knowledge for basic management of common patient-care problems, e.g., emergency treatment, emergencies management and decision for appropriate treatment to develop clinical and practical skills of students. To assist and facilitate the Head of Department in conducting MBBS / BDS examinations. To ensure regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care and supervise new patients referred for specialist advice. To ensure regular clinical rounds of the ward to monitor progress and care of indoor patients. To perform medical procedures in the ward under supervision of senior consultants and ensure appropriate diagnostics and investigations are carried out. To provide specialist advice on medical problems of patients referred from other departments. To assess patients in the emergency department when required for consultancy. To ensure on-call commitments after regular duty hours to provide care to critical patients around the clock. To assist Head of Department / Professor in departmental confidential enquiries of mortalities. To manage, supervise and train PGs / MOs / HOs and other paramedical staff to ensure delivery of quality health services and enhance patients management skills. To prepare and monitor the department duty rota including paramedical staff and address staff management and placement issues. To maintain close liaison with hospital administration to ensure proper ward management, including patient clinical records and routine matters related to demand, supply and complaints.
