Android & AR Developer

Overview

This is a 6-month contract role for an Android AR Developer, based on-site in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Android AR Developer will be responsible for designing and developing augmented reality (AR) applications for the Android platform. Daily tasks include coding, testing, debugging AR applications, collaborating with designers and developers to create engaging AR experiences, researching new AR technologies, and staying updated with industry trends. The developer will also be expected to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and optimize performance for a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AR-enabled Android applications using ARCore and Vuforia to enhance user engagement through immersive experiences.
• Integrate real-time communication features such as video calling using Azure Communication Services and SignalR to enable seamless interaction within the app.
• Implement push notification systems using Azure Notification Hubs and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to ensure timely and reliable user communication.
• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented codebases using Git or Azure DevOps to support efficient collaboration and version control.
• Execute comprehensive unit and integration testing to ensure application stability, performance, and minimal production issues.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams during design reviews and product testing to contribute to product innovation and refinement.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical issues to optimize performance and enhance user experience.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in English with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and project alignment.
• Foster a positive team environment by actively participating in team discussions, offering support, and demonstrating a problem-solving mindset.
