Overview
SZABIST University Islamabad is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual for the position of Research Associate in Predictive Analytics Lab under Higher Education Commission's Project titled "Establishment of National Centre in Big Data & Cloud Computing".
The position is purely on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature searches and reviews.
- Collect, modify, test, verify and analyze research data.
- Validate quality of data elements and evaluate the consistency of experimental data.
- Assist Masters / PhD students working on the research projects (maintaining records on assignment completion, acting as mediator between the students and the faculty members / academic supervisors).
- Prepare progress reports of research activities in the campus for Principal Investigators (PIs) and Co-PIs.
- Prepare drafts of research articles, reports, and presentations.
- Collaboration with HOD / PI and senior faculty members.
- Ad-hoc programming, as required for research projects.
- Diagnose and solve system / software problems, install applications software as related to research needs.
- Provide computational research support as related to research project.
- Diagnose and problem solve as it relates to the research project.
- Record results of experiments.
- Develop research survey, questionnaire, or tests.
- Develop and maintain research databases.
- Keep record of information obtained during research, may include a database of information, hard files, etc.
- Presents research material to fellow researchers and faculty members.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
- To undertake research in the relevant discipline area using the appropriate methods and / or techniques.
- To contribute to the production of research reports and research publications.
- To coordinate with research colleagues and faculty internally as appropriate to the research and to develop appropriate external contacts and networks relevant to the research project and to future funding opportunities.
