About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Lead Instructor to lead the delivery of an intensive, practical cybersecurity specialization program in Karachi.
This is not a traditional lecture-based teaching role. The instructor will be responsible for helping learners build real-world cybersecurity skills through practical labs, tools, simulations, projects, and industry-relevant scenarios.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on cybersecurity experience, the ability to simplify technical concepts, and the confidence to lead a classroom of ambitious learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead live, on-site cybersecurity classes in Karachi.
- Deliver practical instruction across core cybersecurity concepts, tools, and workflows.
- Conduct hands-on labs, demonstrations, exercises, and security simulations.
- Guide students through individual and team-based projects.
- Mentor learners on technical challenges, career pathways, certifications, and industry expectations.
- Review assignments, labs, assessments, and final projects.
- Provide structured feedback to improve student performance.
- Ensure the curriculum remains practical, current, and aligned with real-world cybersecurity roles.
- Collaborate with the academic and program teams to continuously improve course delivery.
- Track learner progress, engagement, and technical competency.
- Support demo sessions, evaluations, or technical activities related to the cohort when required.

Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, SOC operations, penetration testing, security engineering, or a related field.
- Strong practical understanding of cybersecurity concepts and tools.
- Prior teaching, corporate training, mentoring, or technical workshop experience is preferred.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to learners with varying levels of experience.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to design and supervise practical labs and projects.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outcomes-focused learning environment.
- Must be available for regular on-site sessions in Karachi.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications are an advantage, including:
- Security+
- CEH
- CySA+
- OSCP
- CISSP
- CISM
- Microsoft Security Certifications
- AWS or Azure Security Certifications
- Other recognized cybersecurity certifications
Certifications are preferred but practical industry experience will carry greater weight.

The right instructor should be able to demonstrate how cybersecurity work is actually performed, challenge students with realistic scenarios, help them troubleshoot problems, and prepare them for practical roles in the industry.
