Position: Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)
Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Salary Range: 75,000 PKR - 150,000 PKR
Location: Gate No 3, Sharif Medical City Rd, Jati Umrah Lahore, Pakistan ( Transportation available)
Timings: 8 AM to 2PM ( Monday to Friday) ( ONSITE)
Requirements: 2 years of experience is required
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Evaluation
· Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments using formal and informal tools.
· Evaluate receptive and expressive language, speech, social communication, play, and functional communication skills.
· Identify individual communication strengths, needs, and priorities.
· Contribute to multidisciplinary assessments and student profiles.
· Prepare assessment reports with functional recommendations.
2. Individualized Communication Planning
· Develop individualized communication goals aligned with students' curriculum and developmental needs.
· Design functional communication programs that support daily participation.
· Promote social communication, emotional regulation, and transactional support skills.
· Collaborate with teachers to embed communication goals into classroom routines and activities.
3: Speech, Language and AAC Intervention
· Provide individual and group-based speech and language intervention sessions.
· The ability to use language effectively for everyday purposes, including social interaction, vocabulary use, sentence formation, understanding and engaging in conversations.
· Play and peer interaction
· Implement AAC systems including Makaton, communication boards, PECS, TouchChat, LAMP, and other assistive communication approaches as required.
· Train students and communication partners to use AAC consistently across environments.
4. Classroom Collaboration and Consultation
· Work closely with teachers to embed communication goals within classroom routines.
· Provide strategies for communication-friendly classrooms.
· Support implementation of visual supports, communication systems, and structured teaching strategies.
· Participate in classroom observations and provide recommendations.
· Ensure consistency between therapy sessions and classroom implementation.
5. Parent Training and Support
· Provide parent coaching on communication development and language stimulation strategies.
· Train families to support communication goals at home.
· Participate in parent meetings and workshops.
6. Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration
· Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, special educators, and school leadership.
· Participate in case discussions, progress reviews, and program planning meetings.
7. Documentation and Monitoring
· Maintain accurate student records, therapy notes, progress reports, and communication profiles.
· Monitor student progress and modify intervention plans according to outcomes.
8. Professional Development and Quality Improvement
· Stay updated with current evidence-based practices in autism, AAC, and speech-language intervention.
· Participate in training, workshops, and support mentoring of interns and junior staff when required.
