Program Lead, TB Shield Pakistan

Overview

At Spiro, we stop tuberculosis before it starts. We are an NGO that designs and funds "TB Shield" TB screening and prevention programs, supporting hospitals with capacity building and reaching communities that need help the most. We’re looking for a person to oversee all the TB Shield work that Spiro funds across Pakistan - working closely with government stakeholders and implementation partners to ensure TB Shield programs launch and run smoothly so TB Shield helps as many people as possible. You’ll be employed by a local partner organization and work closely alongside the Spiro global team. This isn’t just another job; it's a chance to expand an exceptional program from the early days. Over time, you could take over more responsibility for core TB Shield strategy decisions. We don’t require TB-specific experience we’re looking for someone entrepreneurial who really cares about helping others. Oversee all TB Shield work funded by Spiro across Pakistan, coordinating with government stakeholders and implementation partners to ensure TB Shield programs launch and run smoothly. Collaborate with a local partner organization and the Spiro global team. Support program expansion and longer-term TB Shield strategy decisions as responsibilities grow. Job Specification

Required Skills : Essential Strong understanding and alignment with TB Shield program's mission and approach. Passion for improving lives and delivering health services to those most in need. Commitment to evidence-based, cost-effective health interventions. Undergraduate degree or master's in any subject. Excellent Urdu and English, written and spoken. 13 years’ experience in program management, health, development, start-ups, public sector, or similar. Ability to work effectively across different organizational cultures including with Spiro. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems. Digital fluency; comfortable using tools like Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and project management platforms. Self-motivated, hard-working, reliable, and proactive. Able and willing to travel within Pakistan (Punjab and Sindh provinces) to visit sites and partners. Desirable Ability to speak other local languages such as Pashto, Sindhi, or Punjabi. Knowledge or qualification in medicine or public health.
