System Administrator (Lahore)

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain mission-critical IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Manage and configure virtualization platforms, including VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Oracle Linux KVM. Oversee server, storage, backup, and tape autoloader administration. Implement and manage backup solutions like NetBackup and Veeam. Administer network-attached storage (NAS), NFS, and Windows shared file systems. Deploy and manage containerization technologies such as Linux Docker and Kubernetes. Provide advanced administration for Microsoft Active Directory and VDI environments, including VMware Horizon. Manage and maintain print servers. Monitor and manage data center operations, including power, cooling, and power distribution units (PDUs). Utilize centralized monitoring systems like SolarWinds or Oracle OEM to ensure system health and proactively address issues. Develop and implement Bash shell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency. Required Qualifications

Education : A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology. Experience : A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in system administration, with at least 3 completed project implementations. Technical Skills :

Extensive experience managing high-availability, mission-critical IT infrastructure. Proficiency in VMware installation ,

configuration, and administration. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and Oracle Linux KVM. Experience with server, storage, and backup appliance administration. Expertise in NetBackup and Veeam software. Demonstrated ability to manage NAS, NFS, and Windows shared file systems. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes management. Proven skills in MS Active Directory and VMware Horizon management.

Certifications :

VMware ESXi Certification MCSE 2016 Red Hat Administration Certification

Preferred Skills :

Experience with networking, firewalls, and IT security. Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Apache, Tomcat, NGINX, and SSL configurations. Familiarity with centralized monitoring systems. Proficiency in Bash shell scripting. Experience in data center management.
