Position Overview
The
Financial Specialist
will play a critical role in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, while providing data-driven insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of financial principles, experience in financial modeling, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, monitor, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts. Develop financial models and conduct variance analysis. Create accurate financial reports for internal teams and external stakeholders. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements as needed. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Monitor key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to management. Recommend improvements to existing processes, tools, and systems. Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 25 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or accounting. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, modeling). Familiarity with accounting software and financial tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment. High attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification (or working toward it) is a plus. Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or startups. Knowledge of financial automation tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
