Overview
Treasury Operations Lead will oversee daily operations within the Treasury Back Office (TBO). This role includes authorizing deals and collaborating closely with the Head of Operations to develop departmental strategies and regularly update policies and procedures. The Treasury operations Lead will serve as a critical role in supporting and enhancing HugoBank's Treasury operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Liaison with the Internal department and External Vendor for Treasury Management System, SBP for new PRISM Setup, SBP account opening and system UAT.
- Lead Treasury operations to ensure that the treasury back office function is aligned with business objectives and work closely with treasury middle and front office to embed proper controls and processes.
- Responsible for overall PRISM Operations, including TMS / X, and ensure connectivity of SBP system (Controller and TMS / X) while coordinating with SBP / IT team for updates as required.
- Update SBP balance and RTGS inflows / outflows in treasury blotter and share it with the treasury front office.
- Ensure that funds transfer instructions received from the front office are processed timely and verify that funds are credited in accordance with agreed terms.
- Analyze market-based TROPS related developments and process advancements, assessing feasibility of implementation at the Bank.
- Liaison directly with the State Bank of Pakistan to address regulatory concerns pertaining to the PRISM and IT department function and the up‑gradation of SBP system.
- Manage all operational data for respective Risk Entities and report to Risk Department on a monthly basis for assessment.
- Conduct Risk & Control Self‑assessment (RCSA) and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) exercise as per bank’s procedures.
- Ensure continuous monitoring and reporting of Bank’s operational risk exposure, losses, near‑miss events and KRI breaches to ORMU.
- Supervise the daily RTGS position shared by Front Office and other stakeholders.
- Provide support to department heads for preparation of Processes, Controls Process manual, SOPs, KPI etc.
- Prepare and submit all necessary reports to SBP and internal units on a timely basis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics or Commerce / MBA Finance / ACCA / CFA.7‑10 years experience in Treasury department of a Bank / FI.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong problem‑solving and investigative skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.About HugoBank
