Introduction

The Part-time Work From Home contact seeks an individual with 2‑4 years of experience using QuickBooks (or PeachTree or other accounting software), advanced level MS Excel and Google Sheets. The individual will participate in responsibly delivering quality bookkeeping services and assist other functions as described below to our client(s) based in the US.

Reporting Skills (Graph / Charts / Detail Orientation)
Knowledge & hands on experience of US GAAP (favourable)
Knowledge / experience of US Tax Codes (favourable)

Responsibilities

Document financial transactions by entering accounting information in software.

Summarise current financial status by collecting information preparing financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows and other reports.

Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing accounting information conduct periodic bank reconciliation.

Present financial information through graphs / charts / tables etc.

Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.

Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing accounting information.

Keep financial information secure and organised.

Maintain financial security by following internal controls and recommending measures for improvement.

Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

Assist in compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by reviewing existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
