Job Summary

A Senior QA Engineer at Creative Chaos is responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. They review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. Senior engineers mentor juniors and help build team strength through training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement day-to-day testing activities and collaborate with developers, architects, and technical release managers within an agile / scrum environment
• Participate in scrum and product planning; perform all phases and types of testing, including strategies, requirements, planning, management, execution, and reporting
• Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs, and changes; validate and close out all issues prior to client delivery
• Collaborate with other QA associates to complete daily QA tasks on time with a high level of quality
• Develop processes to ensure the highest level of quality assurance
• Investigate procedures, workflows, and software to keep processes up to date
• Assist in developing ongoing training programs for the QA team
• Provide department-specific orientation and training for new hires
• Maintain open communication with internal teams
• Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements / specs gathering
• Understand complex business and functional requirements and design technical test cases that thoroughly test the tech stack and meet project requirements
• Work with project and engineering teams to implement and enforce quality gates at each stage of the pipeline
