Senior Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools (preferably Looker).
• Write intermediate SQL queries to analyze, extract, and prepare data from our databases.
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to implement and optimize event tracking on websites using tools like Heap or Google Analytics .
• Support ad-hoc data analysis requests to inform business strategy and operations.
• Communicate findings and insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders in English, driving data-driven decisions across teams.
• Ensure data quality and integrity in all reporting and analysis.
• Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues or inconsistencies.

Required Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline).
• Experience : At least 4 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.
• Technical Skills :
• At least Intermediate Proficiency in SQL :
• Capable of writing joins , subqueries , and CTEs with ease.
• Proficient in performing data transformations , aggregations , and calculations for analytical purposes.
• Good understanding of conditional logic (e.g., CASE statements) and basic window functions (e.g., RANK, ROW_NUMBER).
• Comfortable debugging queries and identifying data discrepancies.
• Exposure to query optimization techniques for improved performance.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools , preferably Looker .
• Analytical Expertise : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret and analyze data to generate actionable insights.
• Event Tracking : Understanding of web event tracking concepts and experience working with tools like Heap or Google Analytics .
• Communication : Excellent communication skills in English , with the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical audiences.
• Remote Work Experience : Comfortable working remotely, with proficiency in using tools like Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
• Soft Skills : Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-Have :

• Experience with dbt for data modeling.
• Familiarity with crowdfunding platforms or the fintech domain.
• Exposure to scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Basic understanding of data pipeline automation tools (e.g. Airbyte, Hightouch).
