Commercial Proposal - Work as an active team member to ensure timely submission of all RFQs in line with customer requirements. - Develop tools and models as required to determine pricing. - Develop market benchmarks for pricing and ensure that commercial proposals are aligned with market expectations. - Provide analytical support to Commercial teams during negotiations. - Ensure profitability margins and required returns are in line with management guidelines. - Highlight key financial risks, run sensitivities, and build protections against significant risks.
Contract Renewals & Price Revisions - Ensure that contract renewals align with the assumptions in the business case. - Trigger revisions in prices in line with changes in external environments (e.g., taxation, inflation) as per commercial contracts. - Update business cases and identify any adverse impacts on profitability and returns.
Compliance & Control - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and seek management approvals as required. - Maintain all records, including financial workings, for auditors’ review.
Reporting & Feedback - Develop and share routine updates with management. - Conduct variance analysis of actuals vs. budget and share commentary. - Develop feedback mechanisms in case of disqualification from RFQ, conduct root cause analysis, and suggest ways to ensure competitive pricing in the future.
