Job description

A leading online automotive marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers across the UAE is hiring Senior PHP Developer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Laravel, Node.js, or similar backend frameworks.
  • Follow SOLID principles and clean architecture practices in all layers of development.
  • Architect and maintain RESTful APIs with robust authentication, authorization, and security.
  • Optimize backend and frontend code for performance and scalability.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Utilize AWS services to build scalable and resilient cloud-native systems.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to improving engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical design, planning, and delivery.
  • Implement CI / CD pipelines and monitoring tools for reliable deployments and performance tracking.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of full-stack development experience with a strong backend focus.
  • Proficiency in PHP / Laravel for backend development.
  • Deep understanding of SOLID principles, system design, and scalable architecture.
  • Proven experience building applications at scale (high-traffic, multi-region, or complex systems).
  • Strong command of AWS services and infrastructure design.
  • Proficiency with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD, Git workflows, and containerized environments (Docker, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication in a collaborative environment.
