WP – Front-end Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES : Develop and Customize WordPress Themes : Create custom WordPress themes and modify existing themes to meet specific project requirements. Implement Responsive Design : Ensure that all websites are fully responsive, providing an optimal user experience across a variety of devices and screen sizes. Collaborate with Design and Backend Teams : Work with UI / UX designers to transform design mockups into functional and high-performance web pages. Coordinate with backend developers to integrate server-side logic with frontend elements. Maintain Website Performance : Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO. Implement best practices for website loading times, scalability, and overall performance. Manage WordPress Plugins : Select, install, and configure appropriate plugins to extend site functionality while ensuring compatibility and performance. Adhere to Coding Standards : Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following industry best practices and company guidelines. Debug and Troubleshoot : Identify and fix frontend-related issues and bugs promptly. REQUIREMENTS : At least 3 years of experience in WordPress frontend development. Experience with PHP and WordPress theme development. Knowledge of responsive design principles and frameworks such as Bootstrap. Familiarity with front-end build tools and workflows (e.g., Gulp, Webpack, NPM). Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch. Experience with Git and version control systems. Understanding of SEO best practices and how to implement them in frontend development. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment PREFFERED QUALIFICATION : Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Beaver Builder, or WPBakery. Understanding of RESTful services and APIs. Awareness of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices. Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
