Job description

Overview The Manager of PR & Communications will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the public relations strategies to enhance the company's brand image, increase market visibility, and manage brand ambassadors and influencers. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in PR and a deep understanding of media relations, influencer marketing, and brand communications. The individual will collaborate across departments to execute effective PR campaigns that strengthen the brand presence of RDX Sports in the Boxing and MMA industry.

Key Responsibilities Strategic PR Planning and Execution

Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations plan that aligns with the company's marketing and brand strategy

Identify opportunities for brand-building through strategic partnerships, media relations, and influencer engagements

Ambassador and Influencer Management

Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with brand ambassadors and influencers to drive brand visibility

Ensure that ambassadors and influencers represent the brand consistently and align with the company's values and goals

Monitor the impact and effectiveness of influencer campaigns and optimize strategies based on performance metrics

Media Relations

Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key influencers to secure coverage in relevant publications, both online and offline

Develop press releases, media pitches, and other materials to generate media interest and manage the company's image

Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating responses and managing crisis communications as necessary

Content and Campaign Management

Oversee the creation and distribution of PR content, including press releases, media kits, newsletters, and social media updates related to PR campaigns

Develop a content calendar in collaboration with the marketing team to align PR campaigns with seasonal events, launches, and industry trends

Product Placement in Movies and Media

Identify and secure product placement opportunities in movies, TV shows, and digital media platforms to expand brand reach

Work closely with production companies, agencies, and distributors to negotiate placements and track the exposure generated through these channels

Brand Positioning and Reputation Management

Monitor brand sentiment and manage the brand's reputation in the public sphere, addressing any negative coverage or issues proactively

Develop crisis communication plans and act swiftly in response to any PR crises to protect the brand's image

Performance Analysis and Reporting

Track and analyse the performance of PR campaigns, ambassador / influencer partnerships, and media coverage

Generate regular reports and provide insights on the effectiveness of PR activities, making data-driven recommendations for future campaigns

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field; Master's degree is a plus

Minimum of 5 years in a public relations or communications role, preferably in sports, lifestyle, or entertainment industries

Skills

Strong media and influencer network with an ability to manage high-profile partnerships

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Proven experience in crisis management and brand reputation strategy

Proficiency in PR analytics and familiarity with tools for tracking PR effectiveness

Working Conditions

This position requires flexibility in managing deadlines and coordinating with team members across different time zones

Availability to attend events, media appearances, and PR-related functions, as required

Technology / SaaS / AI - Enhancing online brand perception, driving digital adoption, and leveraging data-driven marketing strategies

FMCG / CPG - Creating high-impact branding and marketing strategies to build strong customer loyalty and market presence

Bedding / Interior Design / Furniture - Showcasing lifestyle branding, visual storytelling, and immersive digital experiences to influence purchase decisions

Real Estate - Developing brand credibility, engaging potential buyers through digital platforms, and optimizing lead generation strategies
