Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Lahore back office. The role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing accurate reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting our Canadian clients with their bookkeeping and tax needs. This position is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to gain exposure to international accounting practices while working in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record Financial Transactions : Accurately maintain records of all purchases, sales, receipts, and payments in line with company policies.
- Prepare Financial Statements : Generate balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports to provide insights into business performance.
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable : Process invoices, track receivables, and ensure timely recording and settlement of payables.
- Reconcile Bank Statements : Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with Tax Preparation : Compile required documentation for tax & GST filings and ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations.
- Maintain Financial Software : Use accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to record transactions, generate reports, and safeguard financial data.
- Support Other Advisory Projects : Assist in other advisory engagements by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Client Communication : Coordinate with Canadian clients (as required) to resolve accounting queries and provide timely updates on financial matters.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent preferred.Experience : Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is required.Attention to Detail : Strong analytical skills with high accuracy in financial reporting.Organizational Skills : Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload efficiently.Communication Skills : Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members.Technical Proficiency : Strong command of MS Excel and cloud-based accounting platforms. Knowledge of Caseware and Taxcycle is preferred.What We Offer
