Research Assistant - Software Engineering / Computer Science

Riphah International University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant in Software Engineering or Computer Science. This position is designed for individuals pursuing their MS degree and is ideal for candidates interested in engaging in research projects under the guidance of a Principal Investigator (PI). The Research Assistant will be instrumental in supporting various research initiatives, contributing to the handling and analysis of data while enhancing their academic experience. The initial employment period is one year, starting with a two-month probationary period, with the potential for extension based on satisfactory performance and project funding. Candidates with prior research experience are encouraged to apply, particularly those looking to collaborate closely with the PI on their Masters work.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of research projects in the fields of Software Engineering and Computer Science, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Conduct literature reviews to gather relevant information and insights that can inform the research process and methodology.

Collect, document, and analyze data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability throughout the research cycle.

Support the preparation of research papers and reports, contributing to the writing process by integrating data and findings while adhering to academic standards.

Participate in regular meetings with the Principal Investigator and research team, providing updates on progress and discussing challenges faced during the research.

Collaborate with other researchers and students, sharing insights and findings to foster a productive and engaging research environment.

Maintain organization of research materials and data sets, ensuring that all information is easily accessible for ongoing and future references.

Adhere to all ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements related to research practices, maintaining the integrity of the research process.
