The Audio / Video Producer / Editor is responsible for the professional production and post-production of high-quality video and audio content for digital courses. This role will direct faculty during recording sessions, perform advanced audio / video editing, ensure technical excellence, and be comfortable creating supplementary graphics, animations, and illustrations. This individual will also supervise and quality-assure the work of interns. Job Responsibilities

Audio / Video Production and Direction :

Collaborate with the Manager, Digital Learning and Design and faculty authors to understand course content and visual requirements. Direct faculty members during recording sessions, providing clear guidance on presentation, pacing, and on-screen presence to ensure optimal video quality. Operate studio equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting, teleprompters) during recording sessions. Ensure professional audio and video quality, lighting, and framing during production. Audio / Video Post-Production :

Lead the comprehensive editing of course videos, including cutting, trimming, adding transitions, background music, sound effects, and text overlays. Perform advanced audio enhancement (noise reduction, leveling) and color correction. Integrate graphics, animations, and other visual elements seamlessly into videos. Ensure all videos are optimized for web delivery and adhere to technical specifications. Manage and organize all raw footage and edited video files. Motion Graphics and Animation :

Create compelling motion graphics, animations, and illustrations to explain complex concepts or enhance visual engagement within videos. Work with the Graphics / Web Designer to ensure visual consistency and brand adherence. Quality Assurance and Best Practices : Implement and maintain high technical quality standards for all audio / video content. Provide input on best practices and guidelines for faculty on how to record effectively, whether in-studio or self-recording. Ensure videos adhere to accessibility standards (e.g., providing files for captions). Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in film production, Media Arts, Broadcasting, Digital Media, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in video production and post-production, with a strong portfolio showcasing editing, motion graphics, and animation skills - preferably in an educational or corporate training environment. Expert proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects). Proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition). Strong understanding of video and audio compression formats, codecs, and delivery for web. Demonstrated ability to direct non-professional talent (faculty) in a studio setting. Excellent eye for detail, strong visual storytelling abilities, and creative problem-solving skills. Familiarity with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) and principles. Experience with studio lighting, camera operation, and microphone techniques.
